Man jailed for attempting to sell 3-day-old baby for N150k

The Federal High Court sitting in Calabar has sentenced 31-year-old Ifeanyi Kelvin Okorogu to three years in prison for attempting to sell a three-day-old baby. .

Okorogu was arrested in December by the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP). The charge sheet signed by Unimwen Aigbeze, of NAPTIP accused Okorogu of trying to sell the baby of a 16-year-old girl to Angela Tokees Nwaelechi, on December 1. .

Justice Inyang Ekwo sentenced Okorogu to two years on the first count and one year on the second. He said both sentences would run concurrently. 📸: NewTelegraph

Man storms Akwa Ibom orphanage to poison son who almost killed him in a dream Child’s Right and Rehabilitation Network, (CRARN) Children Center in Eket, Akwa Ibom State, has accused 53-year-old Edem Okon, of storming the orphanage to kill one of son taking refuge there.
